URAPI Impact Targets
By focusing on forest restoration and conservation, as well as improving the quality of life of smallholders through the introduction of sustainable agroforestry practices, the URAPI fund contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the UN as part of its 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Strengthening smallholders, regardless of gender, by promoting sustainable land use, mobilizing resources to provide adequate financing, technical advice, and infrastructure to boost their businesses and create employment opportunities.
Promoting sustainable management of agroforestry systems and forests to halt deforestation, restore degraded forests and agricultural soils, and significantly increase afforestation, reforestation, and conservation of ecosystems, which helps reduce emissions and increase carbon sequestration.
Diversifying income sources and access to new markets and value chains, increasing the value of sales and income for producers.
